Dr. Michael Klautzsch grew up here in Oregon and graduated with honors from Oregon State University.   He was awarded an Oregon WICHE Scholarship for health care professionals and subsequently earned his Doctor of Optometry  Degree from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1995.  Dr. Klautzsch was the recipient of the Robert Greenwood Family Memorial Award for patient management skills as well as the Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Fellowship.  During his time at Berkeley, Dr. Klautzsch had the opportunity to go on rotations to several different clinics including the Oakland VA Medical Center and the Portland VA Medical Center.   Dr. Klautzsch gained specialized training in the areas of pre and post-op cataract care and ocular disease management. 

 

 Shortly after graduation Doctor Klautzsch began his private practice in what are now All Family Vision Care in Corvallis and Salem Vision Clinic in Salem.  Dr. Klautzsch enjoys doing infant and pediatric care as well as co-managing refractive surgeries such as LASIK.  Dr. Klautzsch is a member of the American Optometric Society as well as the Oregon Association of Optometric Physicians.  Dr. Klautzsch has volunteered his time and expert eye care to patients in Leon, Mexico along with the Lions Sight Savers Foundation, in addition to doing multiple vision screenings at local schools in Benton and Marion County.

 

Dr. Klautzsch enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy and their two teenage boys.  Family activities include weekly club and high school soccer events, snowboarding, boating and camping.  Often you will find Dr. Klautzsch and his wife walking their two Siberian Huskies near their home in North Albany.

Dr. Justin Heintz, O.D.

Dr. Justin Heintz joined All Family Vision Care during the summer of 2009.  Dr. Heintz graduated with honors from Oregon State University in 2005 and attended the renowned Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR.  Dr. Heintz completed his optometric training during the spring of 2009 and graduated from Pacific as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.  Dr. Heintz was also recipient of the VSP scholarship award for demonstrating excellence in clinical skills. 

 

During his time at Pacific, Dr. Heintz had the opportunity to go on rotations to several different clinics around the United States.  While on his rotations, Dr. Heintz gained specialized training in the areas of infant and pediatric care, ocular disease and pre and post-op cataract care.  Dr. Heintz has also had the opportunity to work with some of the top sports vision specialists in the world and has worked with the Pacific University baseball team and Oregon State volleyball team.  Dr. Heintz is a member of the American Optometric Association and enjoys caring for patients of all ages.

 

Dr. Heintz is originally from a small town in southwestern Montana.  At age 5, Dr. Heintz received his first pair of glasses and decided at that time that he was going to become an optometrist.  Dr. Heintz started observing optometrists while in junior high and his affinity for the profession continued to grow through his high school years.  Dr. Heintz moved to Oregon immediately after high school and enrolled in Oregon State’s Pre-Optometry curriculum.  After attending Pacific University, Dr. Heintz was excited to return to Corvallis to practice. 

 

When Dr. Heintz isn’t at the clinic, he loves spending time with his wife and three kids.  Dr. Heintz is also an Eagle Scout and speaks fluent French. 

Dr. Kelly Shannon joined All Family Vision Care in September of 2016. Dr. Shannon graduated from Oregon State University in 2012 and attended the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his optometric training at UIW-RSO in the spring of 2016.

 

During his time at UIW-RSO, Dr. Shannon had the opportunity to go on rotations to a couple different clinics around the state of Texas. One of the clinics was a private practice in the Houston area, where Dr. Shannon gained specialized training in the areas of infant and pediatric care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. The second clinic was in the Amarillo Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Amarillo. At this location, he gained specialized training in geriatric patient care, ocular disease, and pre and post-op cataract and retinal care. Dr. Shannon is a member of the American Optometric Association and enjoys caring for patients of all ages, especially the pediatric population.

 

Dr. Shannon was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He fell in love with the world of optometry when he was introduced to the profession as a high schooler by his optometrist. Dr. Shannon started his undergraduate schooling, and path towards becoming an optometrist, in Texas where he played baseball as well. After two years of being in Texas, he decided to transfer to Oregon State to finish his undergraduate degree in Biology. It was during his time at Oregon State when Dr. Shannon fell in love with Corvallis and decided that it was the place he wanted to live once he was done with school. He is thrilled to be back in Corvallis, and to have the privilege to serve its community for All Family Vision Care.

 

When Dr. Shannon isn’t in clinic, he loves spending time with friends and family. He is also an avid fishermen who enjoys chasing steelhead and salmon in the rivers and streams up and down the Oregon Coast.
